A Cabulous Wine Wednesday!

Cabernet Sauvignon

84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Vintage: 2010

Alcohol: 13.5%

Average price: $10

Winemaker’s Notes:

“Our North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, jewel-toned red wine, with hearty yet approachable aromas. Intense, deep berry flavors with dried herbal and cedar notes embrace the palate. The wine finishes with smooth tannins. This versatile, medium-bodied Cabernet delivers the ripe fruit and broad mouthfeel typical of the North Coast.”

Full-bodied and smooth, this versatile Cab is perfect for a backyard BBQ or evenings by the fire. Cherries, black currant and plum flavors are finished with soft tannins, making this Cab approachable yet refined. Cabulous over-delivers on everything it should – price, taste, and packaging.”

Here’s what the back label has to say…

“The feeling one experiences upon discovering the perfect balance of lush fruit, toasty oak and an exceptionally good price…all in one bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.”

Our Thoughts:
Not going to lie…they had us at “Cabulous”…So clever! By now most of you know that we are huge Cab fans…we’re definitely stealing the word. 😉 So, did they get it right? Yup. We definitely agree that the price is just right. The wine is also well balanced, soft and smooth.  We got traces of cherries and berries and a hint of spice. It’s a less intimidating Cab for those new to Cabernet Sauvignon. We even enjoyed it outside by a fire. 😉 We found this baby at Costs Plus World Market. First time in that store….in love!  The wine paired nice with some of their chocolate too.
Have a Cabulous Wine Wednesday…Cheers!
