It’s back for it’s 2nd year! The FARE Food, Wine & Beer Festival takes place this Sunday, April 27th 2014 from 1pm to 5pm. This celebration of local food, beer, wine and spirits features samples of over 30 breweries, 10 restaurants, 10 wineries, distilleries, and more. The icing on the cake is the event’s location. The Fuge in Warminster, PA is a historical and beautiful venue which definitely makes FARE stand out from all the other food, beer and wine festivals. This event is presented by Fermented Productions in conjunction with the Doylestown Fire Dept., a 100% volunteer firehouse. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the fire department. This past Saturday we made it over to the first annual FARE Food, Wine & Beer Festival. It was held at a little piece of American History…the Fuge in Warminster, PA. What was once a training center for Astronauts, is now a venue that can be rented to host big events. While this was the first year for FARE, it definitely proved to be a big event that will be around for a while and continue to grow. (Enjoy the complete picture slideshow at the end of this post.)
FARE brought together craft brewers, wineries, distilleries, and restaurants from Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Hosted by Fermented Productions, sponsors included the Iron Abbey Gastro Pub and Philly Beer Scene. The event took place April 13, 2013 from 12pm-4pm. Tickets sold for $60 general admission or $85 VIP (granted you a pre-festival hour of presentations from local breweries and chefs)…
